Facebook has decided to suspend applications in connection with an internal investigation that began after a statement by Cambridge Analytica.
“The investigation affected millions of applications, tens of thousands of which were temporarily blocked for several reasons at the time of the investigation”, – reports the social network.
According to the results of the audit, some applications were blocked, and lawsuits were filed against several. As for the latter, one part of Facebook accused users of infecting their phones with viruses, and the other accused of stealing personal data through advertising and online tests.
Recall, the Cambridge Analytica scandal occurred in March 2018. The company used the collected personal data of Facebook users to create political advertising.
